"Stay the Course."

Sounds sort of bossy doesn't it? 

If I have to tell myself to "stay the course", then something is going on that is getting me OFF the course! 

February is winding down and some of the goals I had intended to be complete by now are not! Frankly, I'm tired of trying to push them along, or force them. The goals I'm talking about are "important" ones that I have no intention of giving up on. So what to do?

Stay the course, and do the next best thing.

Take baby steps if that's what's necessary. Don't fret and waste a lot of time fiddling with something that's just not going to work!

If nothing "productive" pops into your mind and you're frustrated... do something else...

I have no patience for people complaining about their job any longer. Unless it's a family member of course. If you have to complain (and it's a valid step in getting over it), vent with a close friend or a family member with the expectation of moving through it.

1. Be Yourself. Be your true authentic self. Share personal stories. Give people an idea of who you are and what you're interested in.

2. Be Discerning. As you open your kimono, so to speak, do it with some caution. I don't think you should try to be something you're not by any means. However, if you love hunting, or you're a tree hugger, or you love Jesus - make SURE you want that to be PART OF YOUR BRAND. Once you put it out there on the internets - there ain't no turning back! 

3. Be Conversational. Write like you are talking to a friend. Just a few...

Hobbyists account for 65% of bloggers (no surprise!)

I remember when I thought blogging was a fad - I mean who wants to read pages and pages about a golden retriever? Evidently someone did.

The first blogs were primarily people "blathering on and on about themselves" as one of my employees used to say!

I  have been working with another company to update my website.

I've designed it, and now I'm waiting, waiting, waiting. Here's the new design and new logo.

I'm showing this now because I'm getting more and more traffic and this blog is on my home page.

I want ya'll to know, I believe it's important to continue to grow and evolve with my business and spend money and time doing it.

Perhaps some of you won't be impressed with TekMiss for saying this. Who wants...
