Creating a Mayan – oops… I mean Marketing Calendar

I’ve been preaching how important blogging is.

I’ve been touting that social media is fun and effective.

I’ve been telling folks that email marketing is the most effective way to touch people especially if it ties back to your blog and your FaceBook, Twitter and LinkedIn pages.

And today I noticed that I haven’t blogged in 10 days! 10 days! Yikes.

One of my favorite clients is Merri Bame of Breaking Down Barriers.

Merri took the advice from her Purposeful Online Marketing plan (POMplan) and is blogging every day!

Merri is using her email marketing effectively, using FaceBook, Tweeting her peeps and keeping LinkedIn up to date. She uses “Events” on LinkedIn and FaceBook and took it to another level after a coaching session where we discussed using digital assets to put together a seminar that can be hosted with the web and phone.

She hosted a successful teleseminar!

Merri is walking my talk…

She’s been a great example to me to get on the schtick and walk MY OWN TALK.

The truth about the Mayan Calendar imageSo, as of a couple of weeks ago, I’ve come up with a schedule for 2012.

Yep, all the way through the end of the year.

I created a topic for each month, then I broke it down into “sub schedules” if you will, for each week.

And I am psyched!

I have so much to share that I’m busting at the seams.

My new website will be up by the beginning of the year and I am ready to kick some 2012 butt – screw you Mayan Calendar!
